This thangka is part of our temple's sale. It has been part of many of Khentrul Rinpoche's empowerment ceremonies. From time to time we make these blessed objects available to the community if the Thangka has been replaced with a hand painted or larger version in the same location. This way a practioners has a chance to use the blessed object at home or in their temple. This one was use in Bodh Gaya for the Kalachakra Empowerment as well as in Puerto Rico.

  • Primordial Buddha and the 35 Dharma Kings of Shambhala
  • Kunkyen Dolpopa and the Lineage Masters of the Vajra Yoga Lineage
  • Shri Kalachakra and the yidam deities of the four classes of tantra
  • Buddha-Shakyamuni and the Thousand Buddhas of this fortunate aeon
  • Sanghas of Bodhisattvas, Pratyekabuddhas and Shravakas
  • A host of Dakinis and Dharma Protectors

Thangkas are traditional scroll paintings which are used as supports for meditation. They usually depict various representations of deities, mandalas and enlightened beings. Since the outer representation of deities is often one of the first things we encounter, it is extremely important for these representations to be painted accurately in order to create the best karmic propensities for the teachings to flourish in the mind of the student. Khentrul Rinpoche has taken great care working closely with master Thangka painters and relying on the source texts to ensure the authenticity of each form.

Reproduced on high quality silk, these thangkas look beautiful when displayed and are also easy to roll for travel.
